Overview
Octagonal softboxes are available in 36 and 60 inch sizes. These softboxes produce a large, soft light source that wraps around the subject. Even illumination from corner to corner simulates natural lighting conditions, even in small shooting areas.
The 36 inch and even the 60 inch octagonal softbox are the same pop-up configuration as the rest of the Norman line. Set-up and tear-down are done in seconds, with no extra parts to assemble.
Norman offers a line of patented pop-up softboxes that produce a large, soft light that works well in a variety of portrait and commercial applications. Fast, easy set-up and tear-down, and the convenient travel pouch even make these versatile softboxes a great choice for many location assignments.
All Norman Softboxes include a snap-in inner baffle that can be installed for soft even lighting, or left out to provide slightly higher contrast. The front diffusion panel attaches with Velcro™ for easy installation and removal. The highly reflective inner coating and all baffles are neutral for accurate reproduction.
Norman also offers an assortment of Speed Ring Adapters that allow these softboxes to be used with many popular electronic flash systems. No tools are required to attach these adapters to the built-in speed ring, which is included with each softbox. The adapters can be left on when used with the same brand lamphead or easily exchanged to work with different systems.

Overview
Smith-Victor's all new Heat-Resistant Professional SoftBox Light is the ideal continuous light source for still photographers and videographers. Featuring a heavy-duty ceramic mogul lamp socket, the Pro SBQ-1 will handle 500 and 1000-watt quartz halogen lamps with a color temperature of 3200k. The soft boxes have heat vents and are made with a heat resistant silver lining that can withstand high temperatures for long periods of time. The texture of the silver lining allows the SoftBox Light(tm) to be used as a parabolic reflector by removing the diffusion panel. The stand mounting bracket fits stands with a 5/8-inch stud. The tilting mechanism has an insulated handle and ratchet locking device. The heart of the Professional SoftBox Light(tm) is the incredible tungsten halogen linear lamp. The design of the linear lamp makes it the ideal soft box light source. The lamp features even illumination throughout the length of the tube, and produces non-directional light distribution with high-intensity and optimum softness. The double envelope construction means that the inner glass tube is protected by an outer shell to help prevent the tube from bursting. When the lamp is cool, you can touch the double envelope with bare hands and never worry about damaging the lamp. Lamp life is approximately 2000 hours.

Overview
Smith-Victor's all new Heat-Resistant Professional SoftBox Light is the ideal continuous light source for still photographers and videographers. Featuring a heavy-duty ceramic mogal lamp socket, the Pro SBQ-1 will handle 500 and 1000-watt quartz halogen lamps with a color temperature of 3200k. The soft boxes have heat vents and are made with a heat resistant silver lining that can withstand high temperatures for long periods of time. The texture of the silver lining allows the SoftBox Light™ to be used as a parabolic reflector by removing the diffusion panel. The stand mounting bracket fits stands with a 5/8 inch stud. The tilting mechanism has an insulated handle and ratchet locking device. The heart of the Professional SoftBox Light™ is the incredible tungsten halogen linear lamp. The design of the linear lamp makes it the ideal soft box light source. The lamp features even illumination throughout the length of the tube, and produces non-directional light distribution with high-intensity and optimum softness. The double envelope construction means that the inner glass tube is protected by an outer shell to help prevent the tube from bursting. When the lamp is cool, you can touch the double envelope with bare hands and never worry about damaging the lamp. Lamp life is approximately 2000 hours.
