The ALTA PRO 2 263AV Aluminum video tripod kit is a new 3 section tripod kit that is ideal for video and sport optic applications. Combined with the Alta PH-114V video head, this economical ½ ball leveling tripod with easy leveling on all types of terrain will perform amazingly well! Additional quick setup can be achieved by extending and retracting the leg sections utilizing the Vanguard 1/4 turn lock/unlock twist leg locking system. Whether you are working with DSLR’s or mirrorless cameras with video capabilities, ENG video cameras or your favorite sport optic like a scope or binocular, the ALTA PRO 2 263AV kit provides fast connectivity to your gear by utilizing the popular Arca-Type mount system.
Position the handle comfortably either on the right or left side using the built-in rosettes on the head and pan handle. The kit comes with one handle but easily accepts a second handle (optional) if desired. The combination of this solid tripod and head will allow you to follow your subject matter with ease.

The ALTA GH-100 pistol grip ball head is uniquely styled head to Vanguard and will appeal to many users in wedding, portrait, action, and the macro shot markets. This head allows you to lock, unlock and reposition your camera with one hand while making camera adjustments with the other. Its versatile movement provides almost limitless positioning with 360° panning and 90° tilt. The built-in friction system is designed to accommodate changing equipment weights and balances. Its magnesium alloy construction provides lightweight, long-lasting durability!
Panoramas can be shot with the Alta GH-100. The top rotating platform enables a 360° rotation with 72 click points for perfect panoramic pictures. This feature combined with your favorite stitching software gives you the added panoramic functionality if needed.
The Alta GH-100 head comes complete with the head, bubble levels, and the ever-popular Arca Style mounting plate. A reducing bushing is included in case you mount this head to a ¼”-20 screw thread or desire to mount a camera with a 3/8-16 thread receiver.

Overview
The Alta Pro 263AGH 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with GH-100 Pistol-Grip Ball Head offers generous height, impressive stability, and lightweight alongside a comprehensive list of professional functions – primary among which is the 180° tilting of the center column, which makes a convenient task of macro photography.
The included ball head operates by way of a pistol-grip trigger. Squeeze it, and you release the lock on the ball in order to position it; release it, and the ball locks to set the position. This enables extremely fast setups and one-handed operation. With the GH-100 head on the tilting center column, you'll be able to position your camera easily & securely at virtually any point within a spherical range. With an Allen key, you can adjust the tension of the center column's swiveling motion, and the head also features a Friction Control System.
Not only macro photography but also any type of outdoor photography will be well-served by the Alta Pro 263AGH, which reaches a maximum height of 68.5" and supports up to 15.4 lb. The tripod features spikes that emerge from its rubber feet.
The included GH-100 is removable and features a side-to-side tilt of -32° to +90° and -8° to +90° of back-to-front tilt. The head, which comes with a QS-65GH quick-release plate, also pans a full 360° with a click stop every 5° to aid in panoramic photography. The tripod collar features set screws, so with an Allen wrench, you can establish an extremely strong connection with the head.
